After a whole life with many different dogs from Shitzu to German Shepherds, we finally ran into Kerry Blue Terriers! We were immediately charmed by the breed which is of a comfortable small size, but a lot of dog to work with!We bought our first Kerry in the spring of 2002 and have showed her, as well as trained her in obedience, agility and tracing. Today there are four Kerry's with us, two Swedish and one Italien Female and an Irish Male. We will only breed in a small scale at home, where the puppies will get use to children. And since we also have a cat, they will get use to other animals too. Since there are only a limited number of Kerry's in Sweden, the breed doesn't have any difficulties with hips, elbows or mental diseases, so we are very anxious for it to remain in this way in our future breeding. |
